Tyres and wheels, especially on a mountain bike - are always at risk of punctures and damage when riding on gnarly terrain; this risk is increased if, like many riders, you run into expensive carbon fibre wheels that are expensive to replace.

Although tubeless setups minimise the risk of punctures, with bikes becoming increasingly capable and able to tackle more terrain, alongside the electric bike technology making bikes bigger and heavier - the risk to wheels and tyres remains an issue.

Tyre Inserts are an inexpensive way to add an additional layer of protection to your wheels and tyres - tyre inserts are made from closed-cell foam and sit between the rim of your bike wheel and your tyre - adding cushioning which helps protect against punctures and wheel damage.
