Waterproof Cycling Socks are without doubt one of the best inventions that we have ever witnessed here at Westbrook Cycles. They are a simple yet incredibly important product, which keeps your feet warm & dry, whatever the weather is doing.

These socks are great, and they are actually a pretty good training aid - as they can make winter rides that little bit more bearable, and can tip the decision over to getting out on the bike VS looking at the miserable weather through the window.

Waterproof socks are actually pretty smart, they are made up of three layers, there’s a tough outer layer, a mid layer which is both breathable and waterproof, and there’s also a very comfortable inner liner, which is designed to wick moisture away from the foot.

As mentioned above, the mid-layer is where the wateproof magican happens. Essentially, this layer has holes which are large enough for sweat to wick away from, but small enough for rainwater not to enter. Obviously, the top of the sock is the weak spot for water ingress, so most of these socks have an elasticated upper, which prevents water ingress from above. Another way to protect the top of socks is to wear waterproof cycling trousers.

You can view our complete range of waterproof cycling socks above, which encompass mountain bike waterproof socks and road bike waterproof socks.
