Scott Roxter 24 Review & Specs

At Westbrook Cycles, we have been increasing our range of kids mountain bikes - and with our close relationship with Scott, it’s no surprise that we have been adding an excellent range of Scott Kids Bikes into stock. The Roxter 24 is an important part of the kids Scott Bike lineup, and for good reason, it’s a bike which ticks a lot of boxes and is incredibly fun to ride. This is the key to a successful start to mountain bike riding in our opinion, kids bikes like the Roxter 24 need to be fun and easy to ride - keeping your kids wanting more.

The frame of the Roxter 24 is made from Scott’s own alloy mix - and it provides a strong and lightweight platform, tough enough for taking the odd tumble. Although the bike is designed to be tough - it still has plenty of high quality components, and the Roxter 24 has disc brakes on both the front and the rear, these disc brakes are the perfect way for kids to learn how to use hand brakes as they transition through their cycling journey.

The bike is also styled in a way that kids love, it has loud graphics which cement the toughness of the bike. Gearing is provided by a single speed crank and a rear cassette with eight speeds, this gearing allows for plenty of practice shifting, without being overwhelmed by gear choices. The tyres fitted to the bike are also designed to keep the bike moving, the 24 inch tyres from Kenda are puncture resistant, reliable shifting comes from Shimano - which provides reliable gear changes.

Overall, this is a kids bike which a child can really grow and learn with - it’s a bike which can accompany adults out on more challenging rides - and it’s a bike which is simple and reliable - it’s a great choice and is proving to be one our best selling kids bikes of 2022.
