Roam

The Giant Roam range of bikes, is one of the most versatile ranges of bikes that we supply here at Westbrook Cycles. The bike is at home both on and off road, and features wide gearing - meaning it’s a great ride on both trails, as well as cycling to work on the daily commute. The bike features an incredibly comfortable, upright riding position - allowing you to ride in comfort.

The Roam range has been only slightly updated for 2019, with the top spec model now featuring two Shimano drivetrains. Other than a few colour and cosmetic changes - the rest of the models remain unchanged. Out of the four models in the Roam range, one has V-brakes, whilst the other three feature disc brakes. Other variations within the range include two different frames, which are specified according the brakes fitted to the bike, although the frames vary in design - they are all constructed from the same Giant alloy material - Aluxx Grade.

As well as being a lightweight alloy, all of the frames found within the Roam range have been designed to put you in an upright riding position, which also takes into consideration providing the maximum riding efficiency - serving both off road and on road cycling well. The frame has also been designed with butted tubes, which reduce weight wherever possible.

All Roam models also feature a Suntour suspension fork with 63mm travel. This fork works really well on the bike, reducing vibrations on rougher tarmac roads and surfaces - whilst still providing enough travel to take the knocks and bangs out of off road use. All of the forks lockout, for maximum efficiency. Shimano drivetrains across the range provide a broad spectrum of usable gears, in a reliable and easy to use drivetrain package. The Roam range also features Giant Crosscut Tyres which again provides the perfect balance between on road and off road performance. Cables are taken care of by being inbuilt into a mudguard on the base of the frame, providing a clean and robust design.
