Alpha Five 26" Kids Bike

The Alpha Five is made to take on paved path adventures and mellow dirt paths.

• Custom made cranks. All Prevelo cranks are sized specifically for each model bike, down to the millimetre.
• NEW Microshift 8-speed drivetrain with wide-span 11-38T gearing. Uses a shorter pulley cage without comprising gear ratio width. Because kids bikes have small wheel diameters, rear derailleurs on kids bikes hang low and close to the ground. The Prevelo Alpha bikes use smaller cage derailleurs to keep things high and away from the ground.
• Microshift Trigger Shifters. Small hands have a hard time using twist shifters. We use reliable silky smooth thumb shifters. They are easy for small hands to operate, and operate just like shifters on high performance bikes.
• 95% assembled. Just install the handlebar, seatpost, front wheel and pedals.

Class Leading Wide Span Gearing
Tackle the most monstrous of hills with the Microshift Acolyte Super Short derailleur combined with an 11-38T wide span cassette with 345% gear range. Compared with other brands that use 11-28T cassettes, the Alpha Five offers an additional 90% gear range.

HEIR® Youth Optimized Crank
HEIR® cranks use specific lengths and widths to match young riders pedalling ergonomics. The Dual Alloy Chainguards keep the chain on in all terrain, while protecting the rider's pants from getting caught.

Kid Optimized Cockpit
This is where little riders command their steed. It's decked out with ultra thin grips and short reach brake levers that are optimized for small hands.

Confidence Geometry
The Alpha Five features Prevelo's signature confidence inspiring geometry. Prevelo geometry utilizes a low bottom bracket that lowers the centre of gravity of the bike and rider, making for a more agile and confident ride.
