Certain types of mountain biking such as downhill mountain biking, as well as enduro racing and dirt jumping - carry elevated levels of risk, as does competitive mountain biking which is faster and more aggressive, than everyday recreational mountain biking.

Although no Dainese body armour can provide 100% protection against injury - it can certainly help. 

Different Dainese armour is available for different requirements, with cross country mountain bike riders not needing restrictive full body armour, like downhill mountain bikers require for protection in case the worst happens. 

As well as being designed for maximum protection, Dainese body armour has been designed to be as comfortable as possible, with adjustability and breathability built into all of the designs.
