Cyclocross & Gravel bike frames are specifically designed for the demands of their respective events & terrains, with CX frames typically featuring much wider clearances than those found on road bikes to account for larger tires and the copious amounts mud and grit that they can accumulate during particularly muddy races. On the other hand, gravel bike frames are similar to CX frames, but are designed to offer a little bit more comfort for all-day riding, as opposed to the relatively aggressive geometries of race-ready CX frames.
