£44.99

The GP series is a perfect solution for common wrist pain during cycling. In particular the Gripshift® version offers an ergonomic approach to double twist shift pain relief. Further benefits of this grip are the pure rubber compound, easy to install clamping mechanism, approved back friendly ergonomics, and approved for carbon handlebars.

40 percent cork
The BioKork version of our successful GP series combines ergonomics, sustainability and a comfortable feel consisting of 40% cork material. The material comes from organic farming in Portugal and meets strict ecological guidelines. In the inner support, 20 percent of the plastic is replaced by grass fibres.

Locked down for safety
The GP Series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to mount. Each grip is tightened with only one bolt to reliably secure its position and to prevent twisting. Another important safety feature is that Ergon’s aluminum clamps are cold forged and not extruded – resulting in a much stronger structure.

Fits every type of shifting system
GP Series grips are also available in different versions that are compatible with various types of twist shifters. With standard trigger shifters, both grips have the same length on both sides. The versions for Gripshift®and Dual-Twist shifters have two short grips, while Rohloff@, Nexus®and Singe-Twist shifters require the right-side grip to be shorter to accommodate the shifting mechanism.

Distributes pressure, protects the nerves
While cycling, a significant percentage of a rider’s body weight rests on the hands. This leads to high amount of pressure on a small area of the grips. This often constricts the extremely sensitive ulnar nerve, which runs under the skin surface in the area of the pinky finger. The wing shape of the GP1 Evo, which is scientifically adapted to the hand, effectively distributes pressure over a larger area, preventing discomfort.

Aligned wrists prevents discomfort
Overly bent wrists while cycling results in nerves, tendons and blood vessels being compressed. This can lead to severe pain and mobility problems concerning the median nerve. The ergonomic wing design of the GP1 Evo gently supports the wrist in an ergonomically optimized position – effectively alleviating wrist pain and soreness and numb tingling fingers.

Two sizes for optimal pressure distribution
To effectively distribute pressure on the handlebar and prevent discomfort, it is important that the hand does not completely enclose on the grips. Ergon offers the GP1 Evo in sizes "Small" and "Large". The difference between the two sizes is the thickness of the grip in-hand. A thicker grip provides an optimized fit for a larger hand, while a thinner grip is more advantageous for a smaller hand.
