Cycle Scheme Electric Bikes
Recent changes to the Cycle Scheme - lifting the previous cap of a maximum bike budget of £1,000 - now sees a range of electric bikes become affordable through the cycle scheme. The budget change has come about because of a number of bikes entering the marketplace, which simply were not affordable sub £1,000.
This is certainly true with electric bikes, with very few quality electric bikes being available under £1,000. The lifting of the spending cap on the cycle scheme is widespread, with almost all employers now offering an uncapped spend - leaving cyclists free to choose from a range of electric bikes, including electric road bikes, electric gravel bikes, electric full suspension mountain bikes as well as electric hybrid bikes.
Electric bikes are perfectly suited to the cycle scheme, as electric bikes are perfect for the daily commute - allowing you to travel not only faster and further than non-electric bikes, but electric bikes can also make your commute and daily ride easier - meaning you can turn up to work feeling fresher, and less sweaty!
