Q36.5 Dottore Range
All of the Q36.5 clothing line-up is designed around the same principle of thermoregulation, and the Dottore range represents the pinnacle of this concept. The range comprises of jerseys, shorts, caps, gilets and shoes all designed to provide top-tier performance without sacrificing comfort.
What Is Q36.5?
Q36.5 is a name that perfectly encapsulates the brand’s ethos. The “Q” comes from the latin word “Quaerere” which literally translates as “to seek” or “to look for”. This is a cycling clothing brand that was born in a laboratory, with scientific research very much at the forefront of everything they do, so quaerere is the perfect word to describe their brand.
The “36.5” portion of the name is to do with thermoregulation, the principle at the core of all of these technical cycling clothes. The optimal body temperature is 36.5°C, so all Q36.5 clothing is designed to keep the rider at this temperature.
Who Is Dottore For?
Dottore is for anyone who demands performance from the apparel, not just looks.
This range represents the pinnacle of the QLab's acheivements, it is different from anything you've worn previously. This is for seasoned riders that genuinely want to "feel the difference".
The Dottore range is ergogenic, so it is the first collection that actually enhances athlete performance. Light compression and an ultra supportive fit provide marginal gains for the riders that race each other, race themselves, and race the clock.

Aero Vs Clima
Whilst most high end cycling clothing focuses on being aerodynamic, Q36.5 head of R&D, Luigi Bergamo, believes that there is a bigger benefit to focusing on temperature regulation, particularly for non-pro riders.
The new fabric found in the Dottore Clima bibshorts promises a more ventilated structure without losing any of the compressive qualities or lumbar support of the Q36.5 Dottore Pro bib shorts.
Whilst the focus isn’t completely on aerodynamics, the Q36.5 Dottore range still retains aero properties, meaning these are garments equally at home whether in the peloton or the Sunday club run.

Proprietary Chamois Technology
The Dottore bibshorts use their proprietary QLab Air chamois and Unique Pro Vented chamois. Both of these have been designed for comfort, to be breathable, and reduce sliding, maintaining Q36.5’s focus on the three key touchpoints. The Unique Pro Vented chamois uses an extra layer of high density foam to add further comfort over the QLab Air, along with the addition of open mesh fabric in the uppermost later to improve ventilation.
Another property both of these chamois share is how quickly they dry, with tests showing that this current generation dries 26% faster than previous inserts. This is aided not only by the improved ventilation throughout the pad, but also by its glueless construction which aids in moisture management and eliminates toxins which reduce breathability.
