Giant 2025 TCR Range
Giant is having a fantastic start to 2024, giving us a range of updated bikes that have been redesigned and improved compared to their outgoing models. The new TCR range of road bikes is no different—and this latest bike version is more efficient, lighter, aerodynamic, and integrated than ever before. This post looks at the model range in more detail, including why this bike demands your attention.
The TCR is now a staggering 28 years old. It was created for professional racers and made a massive impact when first launched. The tenth generation of TCR we see today still dramatically impacts the world of road cycling—the TCR remains at the forefront of what is possible from a road bike.
The TCR Advanced SL is the most impressive, being the TCR in range-topping guise. However, innovative design features and cutting-edge manufacturing technologies can be found across the full range.
The TCR has been built to provide the very best of both worlds. In addition to saving on watts, it also ensures you enjoy the ride with impressive levels of ride quality and control. There’s everything you would expect, alongside the internal cable routing and a more integrated cockpit than ever before. There’s no trade-off, and there’s no excessively complex approach to adjustment and even maintenance.
Below, we run through some of the most innovative and newest features which can be found across the TCR Range:
System Optimisation
The TCR is more than the sum of its parts—the frameset, wheels, cockpit, and other components are all robustly tested to work well on their own and with each other. The result is a more user-friendly platform that feels incredibly well-connected.
Increased Efficiency
The previous TCR had a fantastic stiffness-to-weight ratio, which could be felt when riding the bike. The new TCR has an improved stiffness-to-weight ratio, which, in conjunction with aero bars and lighter overall weight, means that the new TCR feels explosive when riding.
Integrated Aero
Not surprisingly, all of this bike's aero tubes were created and tested extensively in wind tunnels, giving it a 2.28-watt aero advantage over the outgoing TCR.
Overdrive Aero
The fork has a new D-shaped steerer tube with spacers, allowing the brake and gear cables to be internally routed through the bars, stem and frame/fork. This keeps the bike looking completely clean and keeps this cabling out of the aero profile of the bike, further reducing drag. This is part of a significant change in the cockpit, with new aerolight stems as part of the Overdrive Aero system.
Integrated Seatpost
The TCR also has two new seatpost designs and systems - with the TCR Advanced SL having a signature ISP within the frameset. This integrated design saves 40g, along with improving aerodynamics and compliance.
Wheels
All TCR models now have CADEX or Giant WheelSystems that have been developed to perfectly bring together aeroydnamics, efficiency and control. All are tubeless, ready.
The new TCR range includes the TCR Advanced SL, the TCR Advanced Pro, the TCR Advanced along with the the TCR Advanced Pro available as frameset only. You can find the complete range, here.
