Introducing The 2025 Scott Addict RC

The Scott Addict road bike was originally introduced in 2008 and has been ridden to numerous victories on the world circuit over the last 15 years. The secret to its success was due to advanced manufacturing techniques, its carbon fibre frame weighed in at significantly less than the other road bikes that were available at the time. This carbon road bike's frame was also strong and stiff, which given its weight, made for an impressively effective climber's bike. An integrated seat post and cutting edge geometry also ensured that the Scott Addict handling was responsive and precise, leading it to become a firm favourite of enthusiasts in the road cycling world.

Over the years road bike component technology has elevated rider's experiences by providing crisp shifting from electronic groupsets, more comfort from bigger volume tyres, and greater stopping power from disc brakes. Although these technologies are undoubtedly improvements from a ride quality point of view, they have incrementally added weight to the bikes, either directly, or through compromises required in frame design. Whilst many bikes have other added benefits that help to overcome this weight, such as improvements to aerodynamics, the Scott Addict has always been known for being incredibly lightweight, which is where the focus has again been placed when developing the latest iteration of the Addict RC.

The new Scott Addict RC range is entirely made up by carbon fibre road bikes and includes the lightest road bike they've ever made, tipping the scales at just 915g for a frame and fork, and weighing in at under 5.9kg for a complete bike. Being lightweight isn't the new Addict RC's only accomplishment, however. A unique 3D computer mount has been developed to continue the seamless integration of components into the cockpit, and a neat handlebar stashed multi-tool is included with all models of the new Scott Addict RC road bike range. Aerodynamics of course still play a part in all road race bikes, and this iteration of the Addict RC sees the frontal area reduced by nearly 10%, creating a more aerodynamic profile in the process.

Inspir3D Computer Mount

The new Syncros Inspir3D Garmin mount seamlessly integrates into the Carbon R100 handlebars, can be retrofitted to Creston iC SL Aero handlebars, and weighs just 12g.

Drop Bar Tool 2

The Syncros Drop Bar Tool 2 stashes neatly away in the end of the handlebars of the Scott Addict RC, and contains a T25 Torx key, a 6mm Allen key, and can be used as a wheel axle lever.

Seatpost Light Options

The new CF seatpost increases comfort by over 30% when compared to the SL version, and the flexible cover at the back can be replaced with an integrated light.

Integrated Seat Clamp

The seatclamp on the Scott Addict RC allows for the SL seatpost to be 10% lighter than the previous version, and also increases flex and comfort.

The geometry has been adapted to ensure that the Addict RC handles in the responsive, precise way riders expect from a road race bike, even when using the 30mm tyres fitted as standard. Tyre clearance allows for a maximum tyre size of 34mm for riders looking for more comfort, and the geometry ensures that the ride doesn't ever feel sluggish or lazy.
