If there’s one thing we have learnt here at Westbrook Cycles, it’s how the often overlooked components of a bike make the biggest difference, this is definitely the case when it comes to carbon fibre seatposts. Switching out your aluminium seatpost to a good carbon fibre seatpost, is a small and easy to carry out upgrade - which not only saves weight when compared to your current seatpost, but also increase comfort in one of the most important areas of the bike.

Carbon seatposts come in a couple of different diameters - usually either 27.2mm, 31.6mm and a rarer size being 30.9mm. It’s also important when swapping to a carbon seatpost, to have a look at the current layback/offset of your current seatpost.
