As with everything in the world of Triathlons and competitive cycling, Triathlon Saddles have been the subject of massive amounts of research and development, by the world’s best bike brands.

Triathlon Saddles are an incredibly important part of any triathlon bike, as one of only a few contact points with the bike - no matter what upgrades your triathlon bike has, if you are not sitting on a comfortable saddle, your riding experience and performance will suffer.

Triathlon Saddles need to fulfil a number of different performance requirements. The first, is that they have to be lightweight, in Triathlons every bit of weight counts - so you can expect to see plenty of triathlon saddles which have been designed and optimised for use with the latest materials to keep weight down, mainly carbon fibre.

The second requirement is that the design of the saddle needs to be aerodynamic, drag is a major factor in performance, and performance is certainly requried during a competitive Triathlon.

The third requirement of a Triathlon Saddle is comfort, athletes have to run after riding the bike stages, so it’s important that they get off the bike in the best possible condition. Different designs provide different comfort levels for different riders, so a lot of the comfort element is down to personal preference.

There are also a number of different materials that are available on Triathlon Saddles. Some riders prefer grippier saddles, whilst others prefer a softer and smoother saddle which makes it easier to change position on, whilst on the bike.

You can view the complete range of Triathlon Saddles above, and if you have any questions about the collection - get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
