Competition Tubular Tyre (Black Chili)
Each year, Continental gets requests from World Tour teams and professional triathletes for sponsorship. They all want the same thing...Continental Competition tubulars!
Recently, Egan Bernal, Geraint Thomas & Chris Froome have won the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 Tours de France on Continental Competition tubulars whilst the tyre is now used by 7 UCI World Tour Teams. Add these wins to the fantastic achievements of Jonny and Alistair Brownlee in triathlon and that the tyre has been used by victors in the last ten editions of the IronMan World Championships in Kona, and you can see that it provides the best combination of speed, grip and reliability at the top end of our sport.
Multi Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy has ridden Competition in road events for most of his career : “For me the most important thing is always speed. As with every part of my bike and kit, I always want what is fastest. The Continental tyres that we used in the Tour Series were as fast as anything I could have wanted.”
- Handmade in Germany!
- Winning tyre at three Paris-Roubaix races
- 19/22/25mm options
- Black Chili compound
- 4 layers of puncture protection under the tread
- Vectran protection
