The Scott Gambler has been prominent on the world cup downhill bike scene since it's inception, with the likes of Brendan Fairclough, Adam Brayton and Marine Cabirou behind the bars. A downhill mountain bike is subject to the harshest riding conditions; the steepest, most technical courses the world can provide, and the Scott Gambler has been designed and engineered to tackle them all.

Over the years the design of the Scott Gambler has changed and evolved to keep up with the competition provided by the other downhill bikes on the market. The latest iteration sees the main frame material transition from alloy to carbon fibre, making it much lighter than previous generations. The unique and iconic linkage from the previous gen Scott Gambler has now been replaced by a more traditional rocker linkage, which again allows this downhill MTB to shed some pounds and make it even more competitive. Another big change for the latest version sees the introduction of 29" wheels, although a 27.5" rear wheel can still be equipped to provide the nimble handling of the mullet setup.
