At Westbrook Cycles, we have worked hard in recent years to expand the number of quality mountain bikes that we bring to market, better covering a wider range of price points - allowing our customers to choose not only the right mountain bike for their riding requirements, but also at the right price point. We have done this carefully, nowhere in our range are ‘cheap bikes’ which provide poor performance and poor value for money. As such as we have an increased range bikes in and around the £1000 price point.

£1000 is a great price point for a mountain bike, and at this price point - we supply hardtail mountain bikes from brands such as Scott, Cube, Giant and Cannondale. These bikes are all handpicked from manufacturers who we know and trust to deliver excellent quality mountain bikes, which perform out in the real world.

As mentioned, these bikes are all hardtail mountain bikes - meaning they have a suspension fork at the front to assist the rider in navigating tricky off road terrain. The frames on these mountain bikes at this price point, can also be constructed from either alloy, or also carbon fibre.

These bikes are also equipped to deal with rugged off road terrain, they have a higher quality suspension fork, higher quality components and you can also expect to see higher end features, such as integrated cabling for a near, more premium look and feel. These bikes are also ready to be upgraded when the time is right, with a lot of bikes at this price point being ready to take dropper seatposts.

Bikes at this price point are also more trail ready, take the Cube Reaction Pro for example, available at £999. This bike has a trail ready geometry with a lowert top tube and a tapered head tube, allowing for maximum control and handling performance. This bike is also ready for a dropper post, when the time is right for an upgrade.
